The Central VA NexGen community is a group focused on the development of the next generation of financial planners. While there is no set age to be a NexGen member, most all are aspiring or new-to-the-profession professionals. This is usually anyone in an undergraduate program or within their first eight years in the profession.

Our community collaborates with other groups within the chapter and members of allied professional networks to provide:
- support, advice, and encouragement for one another in our professional advancement
- promotion, direction and creation of programs that aid in knowledge transference
- exploration of issues common to younger planners and the means to accentuating the positives and finding resolutions for the negatives
2023 will focus on launching and establishing the careers of our members while helping us navigate work-life balance. New this year are NexGen events in Charlottesville.
