Byrke Sestok, CFP®, the newly-elected Chair of the OneFPA Advisory Council Executive Committee, sat down with us recently to discuss his role as chair and how this important group of volunteer leaders will play an integral part of ushering in greater participatory governance into FPA.
The OneFPA Advisory Council, which includes representatives from FPA chapters across the country, will provide critical input into the governance and policy decisions that the FPA Board of Directors may be considering. As chair, Sestok will regularly meet directly with Board members and FPA staff to collect information and input, and participate in important discussions about the OneFPA Network.
“We’re working to make sure we build trust among our members locally, we build trust among the OneFPA Advisory Council members … and do everything we can to further our organization through the greater good,” Sestok says.
