Laura has worked in the financial services/insurance industry for many years, helping clients with solutions to assist them with financial security for their families and businesses in the areas of business succession planning, college funding, retirement planning and estate preservation. As many of the clients she worked with were starting to age and the Baby Boomer population was surging, Laura saw an opportunity to use her previous experience to work with she and her husband Ken, started Assisted Living Locators in June of 2014. She is passionate about working with Seniors and their families to help them navigate the confusing and time-consuming process of exploring senior living options, helping Seniors transition to a new phase of their lives where they can continue to have quality of life is important.

Laura is originally from Kentucky and has lived in Charlotte, NC for the last 19 years. She has served as past President of the Charlotte chapter of the Financial Planning Association (2018) and served on the Board for 5 years as Program Chairperson and currently as Co-Chair of the Membership committee. She completed her CFP in 2015 and is a member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Council on Aging, Aging Resources Network, National Placement and Referral Association and Society of Certified Senior Advisors. She volunteers through a non-profit organization, Shepherd’s Center, that provides education and resources to Seniors, as a volunteer driver for Seniors who can no longer drive to provide them access to doctor’s appointments.
