About Our Members
The Pro Bono Committee consists of a pool of approximately 350 members from which we draw participants to work individually with clients on financial counseling issues. The Committee includes CFP® certificants and financial planners with a wide range of experience. New planners can receive relevant work experience credits for their work with the Pro Bono Committee.
Training
The committee encourages new members to gain experience through a process of training, observation, and hands-on experience. All pro bono volunteers are required to complete a one-hour online FPA Pro Bono Financial Planning Training course.
