In this session, Personal Property & Casualty Market Update, we will explore the current hard insurance market, examining how we arrived at today's conditions and what it means for clients. We will review recent trends in home, auto, and excess liability insurance, including loss ratios, premium shifts, and individual factors driving rate and underwriting challenges. Attendees will gain practical insights into structuring insurance programs effectively along with case studies and data to illustrate the importance of having adequate insurance coverage to protect personal assets.

This presentation will equip financial advisors with the critical knowledge needed to guide clients through Open Enrollment for Medicare and ACA marketplace options. Attendees will learn how to evaluate plan costs beyond just premiums, identify common pitfalls in coverage selection, and proactively address healthcare expenses in financial planning.

Ryan Kaiser is a Personal Risk Consultant with USI Insurance Services, specializing in property and casualty solutions for high-net-worth families and individuals. With nearly 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, Ryan provides customized risk management strategies designed to safeguard assets and protect families from liability exposures. He is dedicated not only to designing tailored insurance programs but also to educating clients on proactive risk management.

Ryan began his career at Farmers Insurance, where he spent over a decade in various claims roles, including catastrophe response. This experience gave him a deep understanding of how losses occur and the importance of having adequate coverage in
place—perspectives that continue to inform his advisory approach today.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and holds the Certified Private Risk Insurance Advisor (CPRIA) designation, with areas of expertise including cyber and family o1ice risk management.

A native Houstonian, Ryan and his wife, Meghan—a Sunday school teacher at Good Shepherd Methodist Church, and a realtor—are raising their two young children, ages 5 and 3. As a family they enjoy the outdoors, sports, and visiting family.
