FPA to host its first in-person national conference in three years in Seattle, Wash.

DENVER (July 5, 2022) – With an eye on powering the desire for human connection, elevating financial planning know-how, and inspiring impact in the community, FPA Annual Conference 2022 will be back in-person December 12-14 at the Seattle Convention Center in Seattle, Wash.

For two decades, the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), the leading membership organization for Certified Financial Planner™ professionals, has hosted FPA Annual Conference to bring together financial planners, thought leaders, service providers, and allied professionals where they can connect, learn from each other, and explore how they can impact their community. Recognized as the largest annual gathering of CFP® professionals, the event regularly attracts over 1,500 attendees from around the world, over 100 exhibiting companies, and thought leaders who share their expertise on the business and practice of financial planning.

Before the pandemic, the Conference was held earlier in the Fall, but the compressed timeframe due to many groups rebooking events because of cancellations over the past two years presented an exciting opportunity. “By shifting FPA Annual Conference 2022 to later in the year, we were able to distance our event from the rush of other industry events taking place in September and October,” says Patrick D. Mahoney, FPA chief executive officer. “We believe this will create a unique opportunity for our attendees and partners to celebrate the work of FPA, our members, and the profession before the year concludes.”

Development of the event is led by a volunteer task force of FPA members and leaders who are responsible for identifying and selecting session topics and speakers. FPA will offer more than 50 individual learning sessions. The full schedule outline is available and will be updated as speakers are confirmed. The conference will also feature ample networking opportunities and will provide an opportunity for attendees to have an impact on the community.

Registration is now open, and attendees can register at a special early bird rate through September 16, reducing the registration fee by $300. FPA members can register for $899, and nonmembers for $1,049. Full-time members of the media can request a complimentary press pass by contacting Ben Lewis at blewis@onefpa.org.
