Immersive, three-day digital experience planned for the largest annual gathering of CFP® professionals

DENVER (August 20, 2020) – In response to the ongoing public health threat and the need for social distancing, the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) is moving its 2020 FPA Annual Conference from the Phoenix Convention Center to the comfort of living rooms and offices across the country Sept. 30 – Oct. 2, 2020.

As the largest annual gathering of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals and thought-leaders in financial planning, the 2020 FPA Digital Annual Conference will provide the financial planning community an immersive, three-day experience featuring best-in-class educational content that builds on financial planning competencies and leads to the mastery in the practice and business of financial planning.

“It’s more imperative than ever that financial planners advance their knowledge and build connections to help them sustain and build their practices and meet the needs of clients during these uncertain times,” says 2020 FPA President Martin C. Seay, Ph.D., CFP®. “In spite of challenges we’ve faced as a result of the pandemic, I’m excited the financial planning community will be able to come together digitally to have thought-provoking conversations, share experiences and discover new ideas so we can change the tomorrows of our members and those they serve.”

Although the 2020 FPA Digital Annual Conference will be online, the association and Annual Conference Task Force has designed a program that not only provides attendees with all-important CE credits, but will also deliver content based on the practice, business, and profession of financial planning. No matter where an attendee focuses their conference experience this year, they will participate in a wide-range of sessions and events from notable speakers, including:
