Mission:
The Public Relations Committee enhances the visibility, credibility, and public understanding of FPA DFW and the financial planning profession through strategic communication and media engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Outreach & Relationships:
Build relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and industry publications to secure coverage and interview opportunities for FPA DFW leaders and members. - Support the D Magazine Call to Action:
Each year, FPA DFW helps coordinate the chapter’s involvement in D Magazine’s annual recognition of Best Financial Planners and Top Wealth Managers. This volunteer role supports the outreach and communication efforts during the May/June nomination and submission period. - Support the FPA DFW Honors Awards Event:
Work with the PR Director and Executive Director to assist with the annual FPA DFW Honors Awards nominations and selection support, program development, visual presentations, awards, event planning and coordination, etc. (annually during October)
