Thomas Neal Tillery is the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of Paraklete® Financial, Inc., a fee-for-service financial planning firm offering integrated personal financial planning and virtual family office services. Distinct in its approach, Paraklete® Financial provides independent and objective advice, free from asset management or product sales, living up to its motto, An Advocate in Financial Services®.

Tom is also the co-founder and Vice President of Financial Planning Advocate, LLC, which provides continuing education for CPAs, financial advisors, and academic institutions. He holds a Master of Science in Financial Services from The American College and a Master of Arts in Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

With over 40 years of experience in personal financial planning, Tom is an esteemed member of several professional organizations, including the AICPA (as a Non-CPA Associate), the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, and the Atlanta Estate Planning Council.

Tom is a prolific speaker and author on topics such as estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, tax advisory services, current retirement challenges, working with investment advisors, and stewardship. He is the co-author of Essentials of Personal Financial Planning, a widely used textbook in graduate programs in accounting, business, and law. Additionally, he co-authored The AICPA Financial Planning Certificate Program, a comprehensive resource covering all areas of the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Body of Knowledge. Successful completion of the program, combined with relevant experience, qualifies participants to earn the PFS credential.
